EUROSTAG® is selected for training and research at IIT Ropar, Punjab (India)

Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar is one of the eight new IITs set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. At present, the institute offers various engineering courses and Ph.D.  programme in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.


Dr. Ranjana Sodhi is Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering & PhD from IIT Kanpur. Her areas of research are Wide area monitoring and control systems, Application of optimization techniques to power systems, Voltage stability assessment and control, Power system state estimation, Power system restructuring.


Dr. Ranjana Sodhi was pretty impressed by EUROSTAG®’s unique and strong features for power system stability research.  Software installation and training has been completed successfully. Research scholar & M-Tech students have started using EUROSTAG® 5.1 which is the latest version. EUROSTAG® 5.1 has dedicated models for the HVDC technology using CSC and VSC converters.
