• The Power System Consulting activity started with the analysis of the 1982 Belgium black out. This event required the design of a new software dedicated to the analysis of power system dynamics. 
• The first version of the pioneered EUROSTAG® software was launched in 1988. EDF (RTE) joined in 1989.

• Consulting activities started in Europe but the expertise of Tractebel Engineering has also been selected by clients in Russia, in Africa, in Asia, in the Middle East and South America.
• The nine Tractebel Engineering regional companies contribute to the success of Power System Consulting activities.
