ADD-ON IPSO

Improving the profitability of investments while ensuring reliable operating conditions requires a tool able to examine alternatives and rationalize the use of facilities in an efficient and accurate way.

IPSO optimizes power system performances by calculating the most appropriate operational point according to user-defined objectives.

Besides giving optimal operating points, IPSO also diagnoses parts of the system where no further improvement can be achieved without violating the safety conditions.

IPSO finds an optimal state of the network in a healthy state and under contingencies (Security Constrained Optimal Power Flow) according to various predefined or user-defined objective functions and constraints allowing full flexibility with very strong algorithmic robustness.

Add-on HERCULES

ADD-ON HERCULES

HERCULES  is a software for the analysis of the system stability for small perturbations.

The innovative algorithm permits the selection of only the eigenvalues of interest and the management of a very large system (more than 100.000 variables). The close link between EUROSTAG® and HERCULES, allowing the user to conserve the physical meaning of each variable, opens the door to advanced analysis such as the identification of unstable or badly damped modes, the detection of the major machines involved in a particular mode through their participation factor or the detection of inter-area oscillations using the mode shapes.

PRINCIPLES

Contract

SMART FLOW including EUROSTAG® is available as an annual subscription including the use of the software, its evolutions and access to the corrective support.

The contract offers:

  • Access to the license(s);
  • Access to the standard version of the software (in English or French);
  • A set of documentation and a tutorial;
  • Continuous support from our experts for the installation and use of the software;
  • Automatic sending of minor and major updates at no additional cost.

The contract does not include installation on site.

Software training can be purchased separately.

Licenses

SMART FLOW  is a software running on Windows® 7, 8 and 10 (as well as their professional versions) and is available in three licensing models: “node-locked”, “USB-locked” or “floating”.

Node-locked license

Each license is generated for a specific dedicated PC and allows unique access to the software.

USB-locked license

Each license is generated for a specific dedicated USB key and allows unique access to the software. The key can be used on any PC that has received a software installation. Only the PC on which the key is connected can run the software.

Floating license

A license token is shared among all PCs authorized by the server of the system and connected to the network. The number of simultaneous uses of the software is limited to the number of floating licenses purchased.

The floating license requires:

  • Installation of a service on a centralized dedicated PC (the license server);
  • Installation of a client on each PC to be authorized to run the application;

A TCP / IP connection between the server and PC’s.

Training

Using the software is easy thanks to the intuitive graphical interface and to the step by step tutorial included in the package. The training can considerably speed up the learning process and enhance the use of the software by your specialists.

We offer à la carte training. The training program can be adapted to the client’s needs and will be defined by mutual agreement. Our training, given by an expert, consists of theoretical sessions followed by practical exercises.
